So.  I've rescued a dog. she is a Siberian Husky/German Shepherd Dog mix from an animal control shelter. she is smart, very prtty, and very mild mannered. I saw her mother and sister at the shelter and they looked great too, so at least it was a healthy cross. judging by the fact that she looks like more like a gray german shepherd than anything else I'm guessing her father was a purebred. her mother was certainly no mutt. anyway, the other dogs in the family seem to like her well enough, and the humans think she is a sweetheart. my dad say's she is the best thing $10 has bought in a long time. can you belive that? she came vacinated, spaye

this morning at aproximately 7:26am a truly wonderful dog breathed his last.

about a week ago my dog lost all interest in food, and I mean all interest. we took him to the vet and got some tests done. yesterday the vet called me back with the results. its AIHA or Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia, a non-contagious desease were the body begins to attack its own red blood cells.  as of today he's on drug therapy. prednisone to supprse his over zealous immune system, and antibiotics to help him fight off any inffections that may arise because it being suppressed. wish us luck
